Karolin Krell trained as a Physiotherapist in Germany at the renowned Asklepios Scoliosis Clinics Katharina Schroth (International Academy Asklepios Clinics). Karolin also studied at the British School of Osteopathy in London, the largest and oldest school in the UK for four years to graduate with a Master’s degree in Osteopathy. Additionally to being a Physiotherapist and Osteopath she further specialised with a postgraduate Master’s degree in Performing Arts Medicine from University College London (UCL).
Karolin’s main passion is for dance and acrobatics within the Performing Arts, she supported various circus and dance theatre companies backstage during very busy touring seasons in the UK.
Karolin presented her research study in the performing arts at the Performing Arts Medicine Association’s (PAMA) and International Association for Dance Medicine & Science (IADMS) Conferences 2016 in New York City, Los Angeles and Hong Kong and received the BAPAM Shipley-Rudge Research & Education Awards for her engagement at such conferences.
She holds various postgraduate qualifications including Neurokinetic Therapy -NKT®, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilisation, Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Therapy and has contributed to two forthcoming publications in Osteopathy.
When not practising at the Bowskill Clinic, Karolin is the on-site Osteopath at the London Contemporary Dance School, the UK’s premier centre for contemporary dance and regularly tours with the German National Rowing and Skeleton Teams as part of their medical health care teams.
Furthermore, Karolin is very eager and involved in the newly formed UK Osteopathic Performing Arts Care Association (OPACA), an interest group for osteopathic students and osteopaths involved or interested in the health care of performing artists.
